2020 Native Youth Ag Opportunities: Part One – How Beginning Farmers & Ranchers Can Get Funded
Engaging youth into agricultural entrepreneurship (and consequently, lending opportunities) is a crucial component to creating resilient future food systems. With the average age of farmers and ranchers being 60 years of age, the agriculture industry is a field of opportunity for beginning farmers and ranchers. The future of agriculture relies on our younger generations to lead the charge, and living in these unprecedented times, it is crucial to support our youth in building future generations of agri-businesses. By highlighting some of the recent innovations in the industry, the first two sessions of this webinar series are intended to deepen our communities’ understanding on the impact that investing in Native youth has on this ever growing field, and will provide two strong Native CDFI examples of programmatic success.
